PTNA has announced the required repertoires of PTNA Piano Competition 2015, and the agenda of study seminars and concerts across the nation in a few months to come. One of the lecturers, Shohei Sekimoto (2002 PTNA Grand Prize winner), recommends to attend several seminars to know various possibilities of interpretations and expressions that lecturers propose. He would like to help students to seek and find their own expressions, whatever their ages are. He will appear in 14 different seminars this year. A piano duo "Deu'or"  (Takashi Fujii & Yoshie Shiramizu), who regularly appear in this seminar series, is enthusiastic in sharing their sounds, harmonies and joy of duo performance with attendees.

Here are some of the testimonies from seminar attendees last year.
"I was so impressed with the performances of lecturers that brought artistry into children's pieces. It encouraged me to go deeper into the music. We all can learn from seminars even though your students won't take part in the competition".

"Every lecturer showed different interpretations through their words and performances, which led lots of discoveries on repertoires. I would like to help my students to learn music in-depth as well as to give effective expressions to each piece, so I respect both viewpoints that lectures suggest. Every year, I attend several seminars and put all things together in one score, to learn, review, and shape what I can tell to each student. " (Asako Suzaki, Hiroshima)

"Seminars are valuable for all the teachers, whether their students would participate or not, to reexamine how to learn and appreciate music, how to project students' personalities to music, etc. One of the most impressive seminars was by Kyoko Nakagawa in 2009, who gave back my report with a lot of advice and suggestions. It is so precious opportunity to have two-way communication through reports even after the seminars". (Emiko Otani, Miyazaki)
