PTNA helps promoting piano recitals, chamber music concerts, piano concertos by introducing music audios/videos online or through radio programs, besides promoting tickets sales. The number of supporting concerts reaches approximately 350 par year, and the performers vary from the grand prize winners of PTNA piano competition, PTNA members, non-members including visiting artists from overseas.
From this spring, PTNA starts to introduce interviews of the pianists to make further exposures of their personalities and the thoughts on the concert programs.

This week, we posted the interview of Shohei SEKIMOTO, the 4th prize winner of Chopin International Piano Competition in Warsaw 2005, as well as the grand prize winner of 2003 PTNA Piano Competition (>go the pianist's page).  He moved to New York in September 2009 to make in-depth study of music, and then met one of the world renowned clarinet player Prof.Charles Neidich, from whom he learned a lot how to go deeper in the music making. The turning point was Brahms's clarinet sonata op.120 which he accompanied in the class of Prof.Neidich. Since then he has been studying Brahms intensively by reviewing all of his compositions, then Beethoven and Bach. He will release his new CD of Brahms op.117, Op.118 and op.119 in July (SONY Music Direct) and will go across Japan for the concerts between June to September. And in March 2013, he will perform with the Orion String Quartet in Japan.
