ptna_20170601top.jpgPTNA e-learning service renewed its programs, and subscribers can watch and learn the following programs at a fixed rate.
 
1) Special intensive seminar by Claudio Soares

Claudio Soares, who has taught a number of young promising pianists, talked about technique, daily lessons, etc. The latter half covers public masterclass to two young talented pianists, Hayata Morimoto (gold prize winner of the grade E) and Akito Tani (gold prize winner the grade Jr.G). -> video

2) Demonstration lessons for the PTNA Teachers' License Program
17 piano teachers gave demonstration lessons (10 min for the elementary level, 12 min for the intermediate level, 15 min for the advanced level) at the Piano Teachers' Seminar vol.50. Here is an excerpt from one of the intermediate-level-lessons taught by Yukiko Hibiya (->video). Hibiya has been teaching piano for 50 years and taught a lot of talented pianists.

3) Piano Teachers' Seminar vol.50
This program is the excerpts of seminars and presentations at the Piano Teachers' Seminar vol.50, covering a variety of themes such as learning materials, teaching skills, performance skills, lesson ideas, etc. Here is Naomi Ishii's presentation regarding the way of making beautiful sounds, based on the method taught by Prof. Hans Leygraf (->video). Ishii has taught many talented junior high and high school students.

(i) Techniques and Ideas by experienced teachers
-Atsuko Fujiwara : "How to nurture ears"
-Yukiko Watanabe : "How to play Burgmüller beautifully, and how to practice efficiently in a short period of time"

(ii) Renowned pianists talk about styles of composers
-Akira Imai : "Find the truth of Sonatine". Imai, who learned from Paul Badura -Skoda, talked about the interpretation of classical sonatine by using the new edition of Sonatine which he revised. =>video
-Akira Eguchi : "All about Bach! " Eguchi talked about various unique episodes of Bach. =>video

(iii) Preparation for competitions
- Seminar for PTNA Piano Competition 2017:
Lecturers talked about the solo and duo repertoires and gave demonstration performances. Lecturers were Shohei Sekimoto, Akira Wakabayashi, Shinosuke, Yusuke Kikuchi (solo), Piano Duo Deu'or, Tsunehito Nakai & Miwako Takeda(duo). - Special interviews: Rintaro Akamatsu talked about effective way of practicing, reading scores, memorizing, before competitions.

(iv) Talk sessions with renowned pianists
-Akiko Ebi : "Reviewing piano education through international competitions". Served as the chief jury member twice at Hamamatsu International Piano Competition, Ebi talked about how important to nurture young talents. (interviewer: Arisa Iida)
-Kei Ito : "How could piano education nurture students' personalities?" Ito talked about her study in Munich and several episodes of her teacher, Prof.Hans Leygraf, with a sense of humor and deep affection to music.
