Yukiko Watanabe's new guide books for elementary-level teachers are titled "Miracle Piano Lesson vol.1, 2" (Yamaha Music Media Corporation), in which she introduces the way of nurturing students' mental strength and sense of independence through experiencing competitions. She also shows the effective use of basic technical training methods like Hanon.

Eiko Nezu published "Scales and Arpeggios for Children"(Ongaku-no-Tomo), in which she re-groups the scales according to the tonality so as to be easily understood. Another new score coming in the end of February is "Czerny - 30 Little Stories"(To-on Kikaku). She re-organizes the order of the 30 pieces (op.849) according to the technical difficulty and divides them into 2 volumes. She also puts imaginative titles and pictures so that any child can enjoy music and practice techniques altogether.

Children have infinite talents and possibility of loving music. Therefore, teachers as well as teaching materials are so important to make their first musical contact well enough alive and alluring.
