PTNA Piano Competition has been providing opportunities to piano students, since 1977, esthetic and stylistic learning of four periods from Baroque to Modern. This year, the repertoires are announced on March 1st for solo and duo divisions, followed by the special seminars for teachers to deepen the understanding and interpretations. PTNA is also providing supporting materials for their learning; analytical scores, demonstration CDs, demonstration performance with orchestral accompaniment (CD), etc.

110224top-taidan.jpgPrior to this event, Atsuko FUJIWARA and Keiko SASAKI, both PTNA councilors and recipients of prestigious 'Teachers' Award' every year, had a discussion over the meaning of participation in the competition. Their experiences prove that students become more concentrated on deep learning of music which leads development of their sensibility, analytical perspectives and better interpretations.

The competition will start from May, until the final round in the end of August.
