"Haydn and Mozart" by two outstanding lecturers in 63rd PTNA Piano Festival

2010pianofestival64_levin.jpg63rd PTNA Piano Festival will be held on August 24th, on the theme of Haydn and Mozart, to compare and explore new perspectives on the two great composers in the classical period.

Two distinguished guests will serve as lecturers; Prof.Robert Levin and Prof.Eisuke Tsuchida.

Prof.Levin, a world leading researcher of Mozart and performer of period instruments, is known as "Mozart in our time". Prof.Tsuchida is well known composer and pianist in Japan. His analysis on music is not only precise and detailed, but also illuminate the uniqueness of the universe of each music.

2010pianofestival64_tsuchida.jpgThis event will be held at 100th anniversary hall in Tokyo College of Music, and many teachers and students are expected to come. (supported by Austrian Embassy, Ongaku no Tomo sha corp., Japan Mozart Research Institute)  

 

PTNA Piano Festival started well over 60 years ago, to make further research on piano pedagogy and performances. Here are some examples in the last couple of years that acquired great number of audiences.
