2011internship-img1.jpgPTNA will accept student pianists to visit and play for school kids on a volunteer basis. This is a part of PTNA School Concert Project that was started in 2005. Since its establishment, a number of piano teachers and pianists, including PTNA grand prize winners, have visited local schools to give 45 minutes talk concerts. Sometimes they play with other instruments or singers.
PTNA extends this opportunity to music college students so that they could create a concert by their own hands within an established platform. The applicants are recommended to build up a program that could enhance communication with children; brief explanation of music and composers, Q&A time, ensemble with them etc. in between the solo performances. Here is an example from last year.

-Satie:Je te veux (piano & horn)
-Bozza:En Irlande (piano & horn)
-Debussy: "Golliwog's cakewalk" from Children's corner (piano)
-Chopin: Nocturne op.48-1 (piano)
-Carpenters: I Need To Be In Love (piano & horn)
-The school song (piano & horn & recorders, ensemble with pupils)
