101105_winnersconcerts.gifPrize winners of PTNA Piano Competition 2010 will appear in the concerts scheduled next February and March. Now ticket reservation is available on PTNA website.

 Tomoyo UMEMURA, the grand prize winner of the special grade(VTR), will play Chopin Polonaise-Fantasie op.61 and Sonata op.35 at Oji Hall Prize concert on Feb.11th. Atsushi IMADA (Silver prize at special grade), Mayuko MOTOYAMA (Gold prize at G grade), Akari MIZUMOTO (Silver prize at G grade) will also appear.
Oji Hall was established by Oji Paper Group in 1992 to encourage musical appreciation and culture.

2010 tomoyo umemura.jpgのサムネール画像のサムネール画像In March, all the gold and silver medal winners of solo and duo divisions will get together at PTNA Winners' Concert on March 21st at Daiichi-Seimei Hall. Among the 34 pianists (26 soloists & 4 duo groups), the youngest are the four gold prize winners of A1 grade, around 6-7 years old.
This concert has always encouraged winners to meet musicians with higher standard and this year, Ms.Umemura will perform both solo and ensemble, where she will play Brahms piano trio with Hamao FUJIWARA (vn) and Ryosuke HORI (vc). Fujiwara is the principal concert master of Yomiuri Nippon Symphony Orchestra, and professor of Toho Gakuen School of Music (postgraduate), etc. Hori is professor of Tokyo College of Music and also served as the vice president of Japan Cello Society. PTNA will also invite several winners of Japan Mozart Music Competition which will be held next January.
Daiichi-Seimei Hall is own by The Daiichi Life Insurance Co. Ltd. and located in the middle of Triton Art Square which enhances the new encounter between people and music.  

 

2010gyp-yokoyama.jpgPrior to this concert, winners' concert for amateurs and adults, namely 'Grandmuse division' is to be held on Feb.19th. 16 prize winners (12 soloists & 2 duo groups) will show their performances at Hakuju Hall. The first prize winner at A1 category, Tomokazu YOKOYAMA (VTR) will play Liszt 'Valses caprices d'après Schubert'.
Hakuju Hall is located in the building of Hakuju Institute for Health Science Co.Ltd, whose mission is to estalibsh 'more fulfilling lifestyle throughout their entire lifetime'.
