Kikuko OGURA (Fortepiano)

pianist_ogura.jpgGraduated from graduate school of Tokyo University of fine arts and music, and Amsterdam Conservatoire of music with special honorary diploma. Various awards in competitions, :1st prize in the 3rd Japan Mozart Music Competition (1988), 1st prize in ensemble division of Bruges International Early Music Competition (1993, with "Trio van Beethoven") and 1st prize in Fortepiano division (1995, with audience prize). Back in Japan, the ensemble concert series, "Treasure box of Music","Women around Beethoven", "The time Mozart lived" etc. received high reputation. 2004 she gave three recitals on the theme of "The world of Mozart" in Daiichi Seimei Hall where she illustrated the life of Mozart by clavier performance. She has released 12 CDs, one of them received the award of exellence on Record Geijutsu Magazine. She is a visiting professor of early music faculty in Tokyo University of fine arts and music. official website
