Rintaro AKAMATSU(Piano)

pianist_akamatsu.jpgBorn in 1978, started to play piano and violin at the age of two, and cello at six. He received many prizes in competitions, such as 44th Student Music Concours of Japan(1st), Clara Schumann International Piano Competition. His final performance (Schumann piano concerto) became a live CD. After graduation from Kobe University, he continued his study at Ecole Normale de Paris, where he received diploma of advanced music performance, both in piano and chamber music. He made a debut in Tokyo in 2007, and played with Royal Metropolitan philharmony (cond.Tomomi Nishimoto) in 2008. He also devotes himself in teaching and writing. Member of Japan Faure Association, Japan music expression forum, PTNA authorized member.
